Thad Mosley was one of three artists to receive a major commission for the public art program at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  The public art program was an ambitious undertaking spearheaded by the Heinz Endowments and other local philanthropic organizations and was in place even before the architect Rafael Viñoly was selected for the architectural commission.  Mosley is a revered and longtime figure in Pittsburgh’s cultural community.
